Join the PTA and Get Involved

The Santa Rita PTA has been able to provide so much enrichment to our children’s education because of the thousands of volunteer hours we give each year and because of financial support. Please volunteer in the classroom and for PTA events and programs.  It’s a great way to get to know others in the Santa Rita Community.  We invite you to become involved in Santa Rita’s PTA and encourage you to attend the meetings.  We discuss PTA programs and projects, approve budgets and get valuable parent feedback – we keep them to one hour or less, so please attend. 

Santa Rita PTA membership has grown steadily from 340 members in the 2004/2005 school year, to 358 in the 2005/2006 school year, to over 400 members for the 2006/2007 school year! We greatly value the participation of all Santa Rita families and hope each family will join the PTA this year. Your membership fee will help the PTA support many school-wide programs and activities. In addition, PTA members are eligible to vote on goals, funding, and programs, and can serve as board members. You can also receive discounts at Kinko's and Border Books. While we would love to have you volunteeer on one of our many activities and committees, volunteering is not a requirement to join the PTA. If you would like to volunteer time, your ideas and experience can make the Santa Rita PTA stronger and better able to enhance the educational experience of all of our students!

It is never too late to join the PTA. Simply fill out the PTA Membership Form and return it to the office with a $10 check, or mark with COMP if you need a complimentary membership. Larger (tax-deductible) donations are welcome and provide additional support. Our goal is 100% participation. For any questions, please contact Julie Eng, membership chair.
