Over and over again in a variety of research studies, it has been shown that children who read during the summer do much better in school when it starts again in the fall. The following list contains some wonderful summer reading. Keep it handy when you are looking for something new to read this summer. The lists are roughly divided by grade levels. It is often difficult to categorize books by grade level. There is no reason that a child can’t read a book from a level “lower” or “higher” than their current grade.
