Why join the PTA? When you join the PTA, you become a part of the network of parents and teachers who are working to enhance all of our children's educational experiences at Santa Rita. All parents are encouraged to join – this year our goal is to have 95% membership participation! High participation gives California PTA a stronger voice with our state government.
Your family’s first membership entitles you to a free Santa Rita Directory - a bound, paper directory of contact information for the Santa Rita community. In addition, only PTA members may vote on items discussed at the PTA general meetings.These are great perks, but the real value of being a Santa Rita PTA member is being part of a strong state and national organization to help children thrive and learn.
Why should I volunteer for the PTA? The PTA is a great way to meet new people, get connected in the school community and have an immediate and direct impact on your child’s education. You can also be a role model by demonstrating to your child the importance you place on education. Santa Rita parents contribute in excess of 18,000 volunteer hours each year and it is this time commitment which enables our school to remain competitive nationwide, despite California budgetary constraints. We urge you to get involved, make some new friends and be part of the solution!
What does a PTA membership cost? Annual PTA memberships cost $15 per person. Families can purchase additional memberships and/or directories for an additional $15 each. Complimentary memberships are available upon request (please inquire at the Santa Rita School office).
It is never too late to join the PTA. Simply click the button above or fill out the PTA Membership Form and return it to the office with a $15 check, or mark with COMP if you need a complimentary membership. Larger (tax-deductible) donations are welcome and provide additional support. Our goal is 95% participation. We look forward to your joining and participating in the Santa Rita PTA!!
