Dear Santa Rita Community,
Happy Friday! As we approach the new school year, I know students eagerly anticipate who their teacher is going to be. Because of the extensive planning required to balance each room, our class lists are final, and placements will not be changed. Our class lists are structured to provide equitable class sizes at each grade level to best serve all our students. Moving students is difficult without causing imbalances and inequities. Please rest assured that we are confident each child is set up for a successful year. Beyond their assigned classroom, students will have plenty of opportunities to reconnect with old friends, make exciting new ones, and feel the encouragement of our entire school community.
There are three ways to check your child(ren)’s class placement for the 2026-27 school year.
- Option 1: ParentSquare - The ParentSquare Portal is open! If you log in, you will see the class placements assigned to your child(ren).
- Option 2: PowerSchool - The PowerSchool Parent Portal is open! If you log in, you will see the class placements assigned to your child(ren). Please contact powerschoolsupport@lasdschools.org if you need help logging in.
- Option 3: Santa Rita Popsicle Party on Friday, August 7 at 4pm. Come and eat a popsicle, meet old and new friends, and check out the full class roster posted in the school office window.
If you have an incoming Kindergarten student look for a separate email. Students will be placed in temporary classes for the first 3 days.
